The Castle

History

Located in the charming municipality of Peralada, in Alt Empordà, stands the Castell de Vallgornera, whose history dates back to 1123.

This castle, recognised as a national cultural treasure, stands out for its two square towers on the east side and its imperfect rectangular enclosure, with a welcoming courtyard in its centre.

In the course of the 18th century, it underwent an expansion that added to its splendour.
